Kristen Demeo is a native of Northern Berkshire and resides in Adams, Mass. Her education includes a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and M.Ed. degree in Instructional Leadership and Curriculum Development from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Kristen has been involved in the field of education for 35 years, teaching kindergarten for 17 years. Presently, she is a K teacher at St. Stanislaus Kostka. In addition, Kristen is also a licensed Driver’s Education Instructor.
Her passion is writing books for children and adults on local history and early learning. Her books include Susan: The Early Life of Susan B. Anthony and The Legend of Mt. Greylock: A History of a Mountain. Another book, Jefferson's Cheshire Cheese, is about the Massachusetts town that gave birth to Susan B Anthony’s maternal grandfather Daniel Read. Additional books include The Rails of Northern Berkshire and Shrouded in the Mist. Kristen has been the secretary for the Board of Directors for six years. She also oversees the management of the Museum’s Gift Shop.
