ALWAYS WELCOMING VOLUNTEERS

The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum is always welcoming volunteers. We believe that getting the community involved in sharing in the pride of Susan's first home is what will preserve the life and legacy of our feminist foremother.

Volunteers may participate in a wide range of activities including

  • Gardening

  • Gift Shop Related Activities

  • Brick Pathway Project

  • Being a Tour Host

  • Fundraising

  • Coordinating Off-Site Programs

  • Administrative Activities including mailing, packaging, etc.

The possibilities are endless! We encourage volunteers to propose their own projects as well for service hours, credit, or just for fun of course!

MEET OUR FEATURE VOLUNTEER, LEAH!

Leah Couture is one of The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum's most dedicated volunteers!  Leah comes to us through BFAIR, the Berkshire Family & Individuals Resource Center in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Leah, along with her assistants Missy and Jill, welcomes visitors at the Admissions counter and staffs the gift shop, working 6 hours a week in the summer and 3 hours a week in the winter. We are grateful to Leah for her continued support of the Birthplace - it is thanks to dedicated volunteers like Leah that we are able to open our doors to visitors all year round!
